So this is how the title came to be...
Saturday was a big day for Cameron! We took him to see his first movie in a theater, which was the movie "Up." Cameron really got into the snacking part of it, he drank an entire large ICEE that we were all supposed to share, 1/2 a box of Gummy Bears, and then after we left the movie 2 M&M Chocolate Chip cookies. I think you get the picture, this is not going to end well!
From the movie standpoint, Val and I really thought he would enjoy it, and normally I think he would have if the movie was more interesting. About an hour into it, Cameron said he was done watching the movie...so I took him out into the mall and we did some shopping for him instead! Honestly though, I was getting bored with it too, it wasn't like "Toy Story" or "Lion King", so I didn't mind leaving either! What a let down!
So fast forward to driving my mom and niece home after they got out of the movie, and what do you think came out of Cameron's mouth? "Mama, I think I'm going to throw up." (Sorry if you get grossed out by this kind of thing!) So lucky us, we've spend the rest of our night dealing with that lovely issue.
So needless to say, next time we will be a bit smarter.
1. Don't let him stuff his face with junk for an hour
2. We will be sure that the movie will really be worth our time and one that he will be willing to sit through.
The sad part is...now I keep thinking, is this going to be his memory of his first movie and he'll never want to go back! :) Here are a few pics from the event...
There's the lovely ICEE!

We're Still Here!
Wow...I just realized that I have been such a slacker...I haven't posted ANYTHING since the beginning of the month!
We said goodbye to my Dad and his wife this past week. They headed back to Japan, after my Dad had been here over 2 months. We had some great quality time with Grandpa, we miss him already!
Then, on May 17th, Val and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. We went to eat at my favorite restaurant that day, Japon, and it just happened to be Prom night too. The waitress asked if we had any celebrations, and we told them we were celebrating our anniversary. It was pretty funny because the people at the table thought we looked too young for that, and one woman said, "Oh, I thought you guys were here for Prom." Aww...isn't that too cute, she thought we were going to Prom. I'm not quite sure if I should take it as a compliment or not! :)
We are also definitley gearing up for summer, now that we had Memorial Day off! I love this time of the year, but then again I dread it. There is so much to do to get ready for the end of the school year, and while I am so excited for the summer, I am so stressed out too! Not to mention that I had to spend the day serving Jury Duty today, all the while I was thinking of the million things that needed to be done at school! EEKK!!!
Cameron has still been working hard at soccer. I think I've had a REALLY difficult time accepting the fact that he is 3 and he won't be playing like he is on a professional team just yet. I guess that is the competitive side of me coming out. I'm really working on dealing with the fact that all he wants to do is be goalie now. (He does SO well at it, but I miss him being out there "playing" soccer.) He told me last week, "Mama, I scored 1 goal already, now I want to just be the goalie." I think he has it all figured out...score once...my job is done...then I can spend the rest of the game being the goalie, where I don't have to do much running at all! He's such a mess...but we love him!
That pretty much sums up our past month, hopefully I can get back with the program and post some pictures too from this past month. Wish me luck with that!

Making Mama Proud
I may have mentioned to some of you out there, that Cameron has had a really tough time with being 3. (Ok...Mom and Dad have had a tough time!) We didn't see terrible 2's, but terrible 3's seemed to arrive right after his birthday. There were a lot more tantrums, arguing, and attitude! Val and I have really been working hard to maintain boundaries with Cameron, while at the same time still trying to understand that he is 3 and there is only so much he can understand right now. On that note, I now have to give him big props for being such a sweet boy too.
During his soccer game this past Sat., Cameron was really working hard to get the ball from any player in his way. In the process, it looked like he knocked over a few people. The sweetest moment though was when a little boy from the other team fell down and Cameron was in the heat of the game, but he stopped and looked at the little boy on the ground. Instead of running off to get back in the game (like I was screaming at him to do!), he knelt over and checked on the little boy to see if he was OK. It seemed like something so little at the time, but when I went back and watched the video of the game, I realized that not once did any other kid stop to check on anyone else that got knocked over the entire game. I was really proud of my boy that he actually took the time to show care and concern for someone he doesn't even know. Sniff, Sniff...
Cameron's team did do a lot better this past Sat., and Cameron cracked us up because he looked like he was trying to play every position on the team. He was his own one man team. The coach put him at goalie for a while there, and he was doing a great job of keeping the other team from scoring too much. But then there was one time when the ball was coming right at the goal and Cameron kicked that ball so hard, that it passed up everyone from both teams. Cameron must have seen a great opportunity, because he then left from being goalie, ran after the ball he just kicked out, got to mid-field, and wacked that ball all the way into our net and scored. It was pretty hilarious to watch him go from defending our goal to scoring all in one minute. That's my boy! ;)
